Shopping
There are several shopping locations throughout the island particularly in the St. John"s area. The quaint Heritage Quay Shopping Centre is a large area in downtown St. John’s containing numerous shops where you can find duty free branded and luxury goods. A short walk from Heritage Quay is the Vendor’s mall, a marketplace for vendors selling locally made arts and crafts. Nearby is charming Redcliffe Quay with numerous cafes and restaurants.
Worth the short drive is Heritage Market which you can visit particularly on Saturdays where you will find local fruits and vegetables, as well as some local arts and crafts. Further along is the Jolly Harbour area with its small boutiques, and a few nearby restaurants.

A land tour of Antigua is a must during your stay. Below are a few sites of interest that are worth a visit:
Shirley Heights
The breathtaking views from Shirley Heights are worth the trek. From the Heights you have excellent views of English Harbour; try visiting on Sunday afternoons to enjoy some barbecue, drinks, and steel pan music.
St. John’s
The capital of the island is an eclectic mix of old and new, with small wooden buildings contrasted with more modern areas such as Heritage Quay.
English Harbour
Antigua’s historic district and the main village in the south of the island was previously developed as a base for the British Navy, but now has numerous attractions. The park is scenic with sites of interest such as Clarence House a residence built for the future King William IV. Several gift and clothing stores are also around the Dockyard.
Barbuda
Though relatively undeveloped Barbuda has a charm all its own. Sites of interest include the Frigate Bird Sanctuary, the Codrington Estate, its unending beaches, as well as an abundance of beautiful reefs.
Beaches
And of course, if you do have the time, visit as many of the 365 beaches of Antigua that you can! Some of the more popular beaches are Fort James near St. John’s, Dickenson Bay and Runaway Bay along the northwestern coast, and Galley Bay.
